Better than homemadeJan 30, 2010
By E. DeJan I have to praise these cookies to high heaven! I used to do a lot of baking when I was younger so I remember what "real" shortbread cookies taste like. I have given in to buying commercial shortbread for years, but when I tried these, they were absolutely like homemade, but even better. No aftertaste, no weird ingredients. Just simple flour, sugar, etc. Light, yet crispy! Buttery and flaky! They are the absolute best commercial cookies I have ever tried. And yes, I do agree they are very delicate so can be easily pulverized if not packaged well or handled gently. But even so I highly recommend them!

Nice balance with the chocolateNov 15, 2009

I liked how the chocolate balanced out the cookies, gave them a nice flavor, not too sweet, not too buttery. I still think the chocolate chip are better; depends on how much you like shortbread.

Nice gluten free shortbreadOct 26, 2009
By Bamjoker If you like shortbread cookies and can't or don't eat gluten then this is for you. One thing from the picture, that isn't a frosting on the cookie. I had thought it was lightly frosted form the photo. The cookie it's self is a swirl of dark and light cookie, similar to the ones you would get in Holiday variety cookie tin.

Having a cookie that actually tastes like a treat is ... A REAL TREAT. Thanks Pamela! I keep them in the freezer and parcel them out very carefully.

Cookie Shortbread crumbsAug 08, 2007
By Donna I also received the shortbread swirls in a crumbled state. The almond ginger cookies arrived fine in the same box and are excelllent. I didn't realize food products could not be returned until I just tried to return them.I wouldn't mind if these were simply broken, but they are crumbs. Pretty expensive bird food! Pamela's are the best Gluten Free cookies I have found, but I guess it is better to buy them at the grocery store for a higher price, than feed a whole case to the birds.I rate the cookies 5 but shipment of them 1.
