My new favorite cookie from Pamela'sApr 09, 2009
By Kathleen Hawk I've been eating gluten free for about seven years, and a couple of Pamela's cookies with a cup of decaf have gotten me through my 4 p.m. "low" many times in those years. When I first discovered them, I loved all the shortbread styles. Then I moved into the chocolate chip versions. Most recently it was the peanut butter, with and without chips.
I love them all, but this raisin and walnut cookie may be my all-time favorite. It's tender, chewy and generously studded with nuts and raisins. Unlike some of the others, which can be a little sweet for my taste, this one seems to rely on the raisins more than sugar for sweetness. After eating one or two, I feel like I've eaten something that might be good for me (and not just totally self-indulgent).
Like all the Pamela's cookies, they're a little pricey, but the prices here on Amazon are definitely the best I've found. (Likewise for the Bob's Red Mill GF bread mixes, which are also wonderful.) Thanks, Amazon, for your great selection of GF foods.

Pretty Good High Quality CookiesAug 12, 2006
By Kennon A. Mccaa I think these taste pretty good. There are lots of nuts & and a few raisins in these slightly bigger than bite sized cookies. You get 54 cookies for the price, so it is sort of pricey but they use quality ingredients so it is probably worth it.

Just like Archway cookies!May 09, 2009
By FarmerJean The Old Fashioned Raisin Walnut cookies are a delicious soft cookie, very simlar to the Archway soft cookies I used to eat in both texture and flavor. I wish Pamela's made a date filled, that would be perfect! I have to be careful with these or I will eat a whole box in on sitting.
Not my FavDec 05, 2010
By JYD I wanted to like this cookie, it's very moist & chewy, has plenty of raisins & walnuts, but something about the flavor just doesn't appeal to my palate. I'll stick to the ginger & peanut butter. Like Pamela's other gluten free cookies, the texture is wonderful & can't detect that they are gluten free.
A safety concernJul 10, 2010
By robgman I am a fan of Pamela's gluten free products and have been happy with all of them until I got the Raisin Walnut Cookies. I just received the order a couple of days ago. I've eaten four of the cookies and they are very good tasting. However, in two of the four cookies I found myself chewing what presumably was walnut shells! I could have easily chipped or broken a tooth.
Pamela's makes some great products but this one is "risky".
