Excellent SaltOct 10, 2008

After years of using Amazon, this is my very first review! (Sorry for being such a slacker).
A friend gave us some Palm Island Salts (black, red and green) as a housewarming gift and we really love them all. Our favorite is the black, which is just amazing, but this red is a close 2nd. It's amazing what a difference it makes in the food we cook, compared to other sea salts we use, and all our guests take notice when I use it! We still use Redmond Sea Salt for day-to-day cooking, and it's very good too, but whenever we want to add something special, we add the black or the red. A single 6-ounce pouch lasted us about 6 months, so a little goes a long way.

Palm Island Premium's red volcanic sea salt is really great to look at; great taste and texture. I've got it in my barbeque arsenal, all ready for summer! Try it on roasts, too.

Wonderful Salt For Water CureOct 29, 2010

After reading about the Water Cure and Dr Fereydoon Batmanghelidj's work I've tried many real sea salts from various parts of the world. This is by far my favorite, just plain wonderful, both by itself, in water, and used on food. I can just sense the nutrition in this when I put it in my mouth. Given what comparable salt costs in health/whole food stores this is a bargain too. Thanks Amazon & Hawaii Kai!
