 Taste Good, But Not-so-good Packaging and Nutritional FactsFeb 03, 2010

I ordered these snack bars on lightening deal to try at low price. They came in a box of 20. The first bar I took out of the box is not completely sealed in the plastic wrapper, pieces of the crumb fell out the package. I threw that one out and checked the remaining 19 bars. I found one more with broken seal that I had to throw away too. It is apparent to me that there is some issue with the packaging from this manufacture.
The bar tastes pretty good, it is not too sweet just the way I like it. I also loved the peacan and pumpkin seeds - it is not easy you find anything like this in the product line-up of more popular brands. The texture is somewhat hard, chewy to the extend that you can sink you teeth in every bite. If you don't have any tooth problem and like chewy thing, you will like it. I would give it a 4 star rating for taste.
Finally, the Nutrition Facts is a joke. The numbers you see on the box is completely different from those on the wrapper of individual bars. For example, on the box Total Fat is listed as 11g and Sugars as 3g whereas on the wrapper Total Fat is listed as 2.5g and Sugars as 14g. This is a big difference! I would not buy any granola bars with 11g fat or 14g sugar. So I don't think I will buy again because lacking of reliable Nutrition Facts.

I was so excited thinking I was getting an organic high fiber bar. My first warning is they are so HARD if you have any dental work these are not for you. If you hack off a piece and suck on it the taste is good but still hard.
The box and the bar do not match on nutritional info. The box says fat 11 gms. The bar says 2.5gm fat. I was expecting a high fiber bar. Box says 12 gms fiber the bar 3gm......which is it?
It also says main ingredient is pecans 25% and crisp rice 4%, just looking at the bar tells you it is just the oppisite. I saw maybe 2 pieces of pecans....lots of crisp rice.
I so wanted to finally to have found "the healthy bar"......the quest continues.
These will have to be chopped up for the birds as I don't want to break teeth or being eating 11 gms of fat in such a small bar. So disappointed.

These bars are very delicious. They are chewy, slightly sweet, and a great alternative to other types of bars that are loaded with HFCS and other undesirable ingredients. I recommend trying a box of these, especially at the sale price! One of these bars tided me over for about 2 1/2 hours - and the best part? Only 150 calories. So it really is a 'smart' snack.

Excellent snack to have during the day. Fills that small void before lunch or dinner. Very tasty and convenient. Being U.S. made is another plus. Unlike any granola bar you have ever tasted before. High recommend purchase.

I tried these because of the sale and really love them. They are not too sweet and have a good texture. It's chewy and gives you the impression that you are eating a candy bar... but with a whole lot less fat!! My kids weren't too big on them, however, I think they will eat them eventually. They liked them, but didn't love them.
I will buy them again.
