Be careful buying falafel, i made the mistake of buying a different brand that required you to let the mix soak in water for an hour. This stuff only takes like 5 min and tastes great!

These packets of Osem Falafel Mix are the best instant mix I have ever tried. They come very close to the fresh, hot falafels available on the streets of Jerusalem. I have served them to guests and they have all enjoyed them. When you're in a hurry to prepare falafels and don't have time to make from scratch, these are a great option. They are great paired up with Sabra Hummous too! Very flavorful and delicious! I always keep Osem Falafel Mix on my shelves.

I've tried several brands of falafel mix, and this one is my favorite by far (sorry Ziyad. Still love you for the pickled turnips!). Ready to go in five minutes without the gritty bits you get in some mixes. The flavor is good, and the texture after frying is moist and almost fluffy inside and crisp on the outside. No hockey pucks! This will become a go-to staple in my house.

I found this only average for making falafels. But then I read about the company, OSEM, based in Israel--and decided that our American products, FANTASTIC and CASBEH, both of actually better quality, will get my future business. I'll have fewer carbon footprints with not having OSEM boxes transported 1/2 way across the world, and won't be giving money to Israel, a country which continues to snub international laws and disobey countless UN resolutions.
By the way, I say this as part of a Jewish family.
