4I like this product but noticed some boxes were datedAug 23, 2007
By Susan "Momof2"
We have purchased this product before and liked it. We purchased a large quantity to share with friends/family. A few of the popcorn packages were soaked through and didn't work well in the microwave. The expiration was early '08. Most packages worked well but it was disappointing when you opened one and it was almost dripping. Perhaps it had set too long on the shelf. Got a great deal with promotion, even with the occasional bad package, it was still cheaper than the grocery store. Product - 5 out of 5 stars. Quality of product when it arrived at my house - 3 out of 5 stars.

4Delicious but a little greasySep 12, 2007
By J. Misuraca
I do love this popcorn. Light and delicious, fresh tasting. I put a paper towel in the bowl before I pour the popcorn in to absorb some of the grease/butter.

5Just like I grew up with.Dec 19, 2007
By M. Branham "A Beverly Lewis Fan"
When I was growing up, the only kind of popcorn my mother would make was white corn. This white corn is delicious, just like Mom's. It pops up great with only 8 kernals, at the most, not popped. I would like a little more in the package. Otherwise it is great.

2Love Tender White OR popcorn but not this batchJul 10, 2011
By Be Informed Not Fooled
I love Orville Redenbacher Natural Tender White it's the best popcorn ever. I ordered the Subscribe and Save option which turned out to be a mistake. The first batch of popcorn I received expired in five months which indicates that the product had been on the shelf for well over a year already. Secondly the boxes were saturated and stained with grease, the outer bags and the popcorn bag itself inside the wrap were also saturated with grease. The popcorn burned at 1min 45sec. I called Amazon they sent out a new batch that expired in six months (old inventory) but at least the boxes and bags weren't stained with grease. The popcorn burned at 1min 45sec and 1/4 of the kernels had not popped. I contacted Conagra and was told the popcorn was safe but old popcorn burns and kernels dont pop. They sent me two coupons! So I had already thrown out the first batch and I gave away most of the second batch and cancelled my Subscribe and Save order. The danger of buying food online is you cannot inspect the expiration dates prior to purchase. I have learned that it's safer to buy popcorn and other foods fresh at the local grocery store rather than online.

4It really is TenderSep 21, 2010
By Pam Tee "Busy Mom"
I was just over raving at how much I despise Orville's "Natural" popcorn --Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Microwavable Popcorn, Natural Simply Salted-- so I thought I should come over and say something nice about his kernels so people didn't think I was anti-Redenbacher.

Unlike the "Natural", I really like the "Tender White". It's nicely salted with a light fluffy texture. The first time we popped it, I was surprised to find out that it really was more tender than Orville's regular popcorn.

The downside is that you trade off fiber for tenderness. The "Tender White" you see has half the fiber of "Ultimate Butter" for example. And what's more surprising, it has more fat. "Tender White" has 13grams versus 11 grams for "Ultimate Butter". (You would think it would be vice-versa.)

THE SKINNY:::
Excellent, tasty popcorn. I buy it sometimes, but not all the time because my thighs tell me I don't need more than the 2 grams of fat I can get in Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Microwavable Popcorn, Smart Pop, 94% Fat Free
