5Great pancakes and more, bravo Orgran.May 07, 2007
By C. F. Meredith "Simple Country Programmer"
This is a very good substitute for real pancakes. I'm celiac and have tried some truly abysmal rice pancake mixes, but this buckwheat is wonderful. I make it with a pinch of salt and use buttermilk, and it's even more like Bisquick taste. On my first attempt and just mixing by guess it made a very respectable crepe by thinning with milk and a little International Delight cinnamon hazelnut coffee creamer. It's near impossible to burn, much more forgiving than wheat to extra heat. I can't imagine what the pan review was tasting but it wasn't this mix.

We use this mix with vanilla rice milk, and often add cinnamon and xylitol for sweetness to make the most delicious waffles you can imagine! It's our Sunday treat, and love the gluten, dairy , dugar free aspect of this tasty stuff. Keep it in good supply in your kitchen if you love waffles.

5my favorite pancake mixOct 09, 2010
By Lorna Francis "casamadrid cook"
When I could no longer find my favorite Buckwheat Pancake Mix (Orgran's) on
any of the gluten free shelves of Whole Foods, Sun Harvest and the like,
I luckily found it at Amazon.com and promptly ordered a case!! I have
been sharing boxes of it with relatives and friends, and of course
enjoying my own special mix of it with buttermilk, almond flavoring and whipped egg whites ----YUM!

5Gluten-Free Waffles and PancakesMay 10, 2007
By Silvia Bridger "Publisher of The Truth About Caffeine"
This gluten-free pancake mix also makes great waffles. Use vanilla rice milk and add cinnamon for a great dairy-free and gluten-free treat.

3powder goes up in the airMay 14, 2012
By sc
i wasn't satisfied with this mix. What really bothered me is when I opened the bag and slowly emptied the flour into a bowl, it just let out a cloud of flour dust into the air while settling into the bowl. It was more airborne dust than I ever had to deal with from any flour! Also, this is a mix and though it says buckwheat, the mix contains less than 50% buckwheat flour, which to me is overpriced. it's more economical and healthy to buy a denser flour, and add your own baking powder and baking soda to it. The taste is okay but I added my own mashed bananas and pumpkin puree to the batter, for more nutrition and flavor.
