This jerky is usually my favorite when I go to the outlet store, but the stuff that came by mail was so stale we had to throw it out.

5BEST jerky EVER EVER EVER!!!!Feb 15, 2009
By Schuyler V. Johnson
I have been a jerky ADDICT for decades, and have had home made, store bought and everything in between, and I ordered these because I was intrigued by the honey and brown sugar flavors and curious to find out how they tasted. I was a bit concerned re the thick cut and being able to chew it, but all worry was for naught and this is, far and away, no contest, the best jerky I have ever tasted in my life, bar none. I remember opening the jar, taking out a piece and putting it into muy mouth and then I was in jerky heaven, oh, they are sooooo good! If I could afford it, I'd have a jar a week, but restraint (and perhaps too much of a good thing) and moderation keep it in perspective for me, however, I will order a jar a month. If you have not tried these, please do yourself a favor and get them, you will not regret it! Bon appetit!

4We love ObertoJul 21, 2008

Great snack, still a bit pricey, but worth it. A great alternative to sweet snacks for the kids.

2Bad Jerky that had potentialJan 17, 2010

I ordered this jerky twice before and it was great. Well amazon sent me the wrong packing list. More than half of the jerky is stale, about 10% of the cuts have fat on them. The other times I ordered it was great. I even went through practically a whole pound in one day. I mean the flavor is really good, but the quality just won't cut it. I really wanted to like it, that's why I ordered a third time. They need better quality control for there meat.

1How long was this cow dead before the jerky was made?Apr 11, 2009
By Ruby "Ruby"
First of all, I love beef jerky. I eat way too much of it. I've ordered this in the past and didn't have a problem with it...this last jar I had is a different story. A few pieces where OK, but for the most part I think they left the dead cow lay in the sun for a week at 100 degrees and then cut up this jerky leaving the blood clots and all on the pieces as they dehydrated it....which would explain the black parts on the jerky. It taste like the meat was spoiled. Absolutely horrible. Lots of fat throughout the pieces too. I will never order this again. I think the food inspector needs to check out the place that this is made.
