My husband and I LOVE this rice mix (I have to eat gluten free so I am quite limited to which pre packaged, seasoned side dishes I can eat like this one.) This tastes great and I take it a step further to make preparation even easier. I follow the directions on the box for stove preparation but instead prepare it in my rice cooker.

This product by far is the best Mexican styple rice I have found to date that comes in a box. I like Mexican food and Mexican/Spanish style rice but I was never satisfied with any boxed product out there. I even stopped purchasing the other brands and skipped the rice altogether.This one... they got it right!

I'm always looking for gluten-free side dishes that are easy to prepare. Most of the rice mixes on the market have gluten and are therefore off my list! I generally cook up a large batch of brown rice ahead of time, freeze it in quart bags, and then thaw and season it when needed. However, it isn't always convenient to cook up the rice and I needed something that would be ready and waiting in my pantry and cook up quickly. This rice fits the bill! We both liked the way it was seasoned and it cooked up pretty quick on the stove top. If I had one complaint, it is that the package I cooked last weekend (my first) contained maybe three peas...I added a cup of my own frozen peas to "fill in." Otherwise, it was really very good and it is something I will keep around as a convenient addition to gluten-free meals!

My wife and I love this product. We fix it with every mexican meal we do. Has a little kick (but not too spicey) that we love. We highly recommend it.

I rarely write a review unless a product is outstandingly good or bad... in this case I can say this is the worst food product I have ever purchased.
Long story short, it's a box of salt, salt, and salt with some garlic powder. I cooked the product exactly per the box instructions, and it was over-salted and over-seasoned. Many better and more economical products on the market, such as those from Goya
