My viceMar 09, 2011
By gatorfantom My grandmother got me hooked on Coffee Nips when I was a boy. Thirty years later, I'm still a fan. On an average week I'll go through 3 boxes, which is roughly 2,500 Nips a year. Am I addicted? Probably.
For years I've been buying Nips at Publix (list price = $1.29/box or 2-for-$2.) Well, the last time I was in there I strolled up to where the Nips usually are and found a red tag that read "CLEARANCE - WHILE SUPPLIES LAST" sitting in front of an empty shelf. A quiet panic ensued. Hoping this was a clerical mistake, I went to the service desk and asked them to double-check. The store manager eventually came out and said: "According to our system, this product is on clearance because the manufacturer has discontinued it." I thought I might have heard him wrong, so I asked if he could clarify what that meant, and he replied: "Um. They aren't making it anymore." Things got blurry and I'm not real sure what happened after that - but somehow I ended up outside the store, running around looking for a wifi connection. Within about 3 minutes I opened the Amazon iPhone app, located Coffee Nips, realized the stupid manager and his system were wrong, ordered a few cases, and then went back to grocery shopping. Conniption prevented.
Thanks Amazon.

Nips was introduced to me by my Mother, many years ago. Had a hard time finding it in stores. Amazon came through, as usual. I have the subscription program. Good deal. Amazon is the best. Nips are next.

Coffee Nips Are Always in My HouseFeb 13, 2011
By Mary D. Cain My husband MUST have these NIPS by his chair at all times. He has eaten these for YEARS!!! We used to get them on sale at Walgreens, but no more, they no longer carry them. AT Kroger we pay $1.49 per box!!
Never the same twiceMay 25, 2012
By Wonderer I purchase Coffee Nips several times a week at the chain drug stores: Walgreens, CVS, etc. and there is nearly always a sale. The problem is that the quality is rarely the same from week to week or store to store. Has anyone else noticed that some batches are much better than others?
It was difficult to rate this item since one week a batch would rate 5 stars while this week's batch garners only two...does Nestle care about quality control or are they just punching these guys out and stuffing them into little boxes?
When they are good they are REALLY good. It would be nice if the quality was consistent.

By Dan Green I've loved these since Pearson made them; now Nestle owns them & the taste is the same. Ships to you fast. Can't find them in stores as in the past. At least Amazon has 'em. And your coffee tastes the same...nip after nip. No need to experience coffee in the office that's burned all day! Enjoy.
