I don't like a lot of different candies. Many are too sweet, taste like cheap artificial flavors or are made with ingredients that bother my sensitive stomach. While lots of candies don't appeal to me, it doesn't meant I don't still get a sweet tooth.
Nips are great, and these Chocolate Parfait ones are even better. While I like original Nips, they take a while to get through one. If you decide to chew it up half way through eating it, you'll find your teeth firmly affixed to the caramel. Also because it lasts so long you may tire of the one noted flavor. The Chocolate Parfait Nips take a good candy and make it even better.
The chocolate inside is soft, but not liquidy. Like a slightly softened Hershey Kiss, though not quite as sweet. It's a semi-sweet chocolate center.
Because they take a little time to get through one, you don't eat as many of them as other candies. They don't take forever to eat one like the originals, but still last plenty long. One small box can last you a little while. They make a great candy to have with a cup of coffee/tea or have sitting on a desk at work and home. These have become one of my all time favorites.

I have been enjoying this candy for years. The pricing recently changed through Amazon, I.e., scheduled deliveries are no longer available but price is still worth it using Prime shipping. I don't believe you can find a candy of this complex taste and quality anywhere else!

I love these for a light taste of chocolate and a nip of sugar without being a heavy calorie-laden treat and eat them often. The outer coating is a nice caramel with a slight taste of toffee, and, once you get down to the center, you hit a gooey chocolate.
It never occurred to me to bite one but my friend's child had to have dental work redone because, apparently, this is somewhere in between caramel and a hard candy...in that, if you bite down on it, it will grip your teeth and pull out dental work according to the dentist when you then open your teeth...so...if you think about it for kids with dental work you might think twice.
Great to keep in your purse for a quick sugar fix, doesn't melt, tastes great.
