Tart but tasty and fillingJun 20, 2007
By Noesis I can't speak to health benefits, but I eat these when I have strong sugar cravings and feel filled and no longer crave sweets. They are tart with small seeds, not for everyone but worth trying!

You never thought Nature could be so flavorful!Dec 18, 2008
By Enthu Hiryu I had been eating Goji berries for some time when I decided to try a few other super-fruits. after reading about the anti-viral and anti-inflamatory properties of Golden berries (or the Cape Gooseberry) I decided to order some from amazon. I figured they would be a nice compliment to the nutritional aspects of the goji berry.
Well, after having been eating 1-2 bag a month for a year I can say this is one of the most flavorful fruits I have ever had. I find them to have a great texture and they are very sweet and surprisingly sour. I like to think of them as "Nature's sweet tarts".You really just can't find a better tasting dried fruit if you like sour candies!
They seem to have helped with migraines and headaches in that they occur dramaticaqlly less. I also have not had many colds, with only 2 for the past year. When I think of eating them I get that sour-sense feeling behind jaw and below the ears.
Now, I do alot more to ensure great health than eat just these berries, as I do not inted to give the idea these are alone will ease your ailments. These are just so delicious though, you will really like the thought they are good for you too! They do offer nice health benefits and are quite satisfying to my hunger. Don't hesitate to get a bag!

Gooseberries!May 18, 2011
By alloyjane I like gooseberries but was curious how that would translate to a dried product. Guess what? Dried gooseberries taste like regular gooseberries. It's mostly just a texture difference, but these dried Navitas "Goldenberries" are nice and moist and otherwise exactly like the fresh version. If you've never had gooseberries, they're a bit sour with a hint of sweet and have tiny seeds inside that are fun to chew on if you're at all interested in that sort of thing.
