Vegan. All natural. Kosher. Soft pastry-like outside with a delicious fruit jam filling. Nice with afternoon tea or morning coffee. This review is out there for those for whom this makes a difference. See all of my reviews for more great choices. Check out "Vegan Grocery Favorites" and "Vegan Grocery Top Ten" in Listmania. So soJun 02, 2009

After reading all the rave reviews for these bars I was excited to try them. I'm not a health-food nut, but I do try to be fairly healthy and I like Nutri-grain bars so I thought I'd give these a try.
They're not terrible, but they aren't great either. Of the two I'd definitely prefer a Nutri-grain bar. The flavor isn't as good and the texture leaves your mouth a little dry. Don't try to eat these puppies w/o a drink in hand!
I guess I can take solace in the fact that these are supposed to be better for me than other snack-bar options as I choke down the last 50 bars I have left to eat!

I bought these hoping my niece (with several allergies) could enjoy them. They ARE wheat free and low fat. As one person asked in the discussion there is no partially hydrogenated oil listed in the ingredients. Milk, egg, and nuts are also not listed in the ingredients. Unfortunately, there is a disclaimer that they are made on equipment that also processes peanuts, tree nuts, milk, and wheat. If your allergies aren't severe I guess you could consider it...if you don't have allergies - these things are so dang good! Don't hesitate to buy in bulk. You will eat them! Enjoy!

Love these bars!Feb 11, 2008
By H. McClusky My son has a ton of allergies and these bars are free from all of them! Great taste, not hard and chalky like some other wheat free bars we've tried.
Finally!! Gluten free that you can really eat!May 31, 2010
By Brenda McManus I have tried many cereal bars, and this one is the only one I eat now. Every Gluten Free product usually is not to good, as we all know but this is definetly worth trying. I promise. I have been eating these for about 2 or 3 years and nothing else has come close to these bars.
