One of My FavoritesMar 26, 2009
By Paul Moskowitz I have been a fan of Nature Valley granola bars for years. They come in many varieties. My favorites lately have been the Pecan Crunch and Peanut Butter bars. So, I was pleased to learn that Amazon now offers the bars in their many different types.
Certainly, Oats and Honey are a classic combination. Oats go way back. Samuel Johnson included a definition of oats in his 1755 Dictionary of the English Language. I have adapted liberally from his definition for my title. Actually, Samuel Johnson said: "Oats: A grain, which in England is generally given to horses, but in Scotland appears to support the people." Little did he know that two and a half centuries later, England's colonial offspring would enthusiastically endorse oats as a food for people.
Earlier this month, I spent a week skiing in Colorado at Vail, The ticket counters were equipped with baskets of the Oats and Honey bars provided free of charge. It was a nice gesture considering the almost $100 daily ticket price. The granola bars pack nearly 100 calories for a single bar, and obviously double that for a two-bar pack.
I took the Oats bars with me skiing, but I also depend on them for hiking. An extra 200 calories is what you may need to give you enough energy to get up the last 200 feet to a mountain summit. The taste is good. They do not melt. If you get tired of the Oats, there is always a choice: Pecan, Almond, or Peanut Butter, to provide variety.

What a great, classic Granola bar at a great price and QuantityJul 17, 2009

Buying these awesome Nature Valley Granola bars in this bulk packaging will save you a few dollars ... and every bit counts.
I love these granola bars and can hardly get enough of them. They squelch hunger, bring blood sugar to a decent level so you can think (if low blood sugar is an issue) and are really, really delicious.
Bite into one and enjoy the honey taste mixed with oats. Delicious. My ONE gripe is the crumbs that are invariably in each pack and will undoubtedly mess up you and your car if you are eating one while driving. A little messy so I tend to unwrap and eat them in a bowl. This captures all the crumbs and I do a lot less chasing.
I love these bars. They are a staple around our home and make it into glove boxes, brief cases, backpacks or however we roll at any particular time. They are a great snack and great appetite fighter.
Yummy!

Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars, Cinnamon, 12-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)Arrived yesterday. Fresh, crunchy, not overly sweet. Will use for an occasional meal substitute with yogurt or for a more healthy snack choice. Took advantage of a really great discount deal and so glad I did. Much cheaper than at supermarket. Would buy again.

Good for a busy officeMay 01, 2009

With a busy work schedule and a hectic life before and afterwords I have no time for breakfast, so I have these bars each day as a mid-morning quick snack. They are just sweet enough to keep me going till lunch and are quick and easy to stash in my desk drawer.
Same thing but less expensive!Mar 08, 2012
By Debbie E I have one of these every morning and typically pay about $4 for a box of 12 (6 wrapped of 2 each). It made a lot of sense to purchase in bulk. They are fresh and exactly the same as the grocery bought item!
