You know how it says under Product Description "wild caught, product of Thailand"?
Well, what it actually says on the can is "farm raised, product of China".
I don't even feed my dogs treats that are made in China, there is a scandal after scandal about their tainted food products in the US. Can you imagine the risk you are taking with farm-raised shellfish?
Currently awaiting my refund from Amazon.

It is often expensive and difficult to find good clams to cook with. The average grocery store will charge around $3 or more for a can of clams. When I found these clams at such an incredible price I purchased them hoping for good results. I was not disappointed. The cans are packed to the gills with baby clams so you need only one can for an average spaghetti alle vongole recipe. I've used these clams with risottos and other dishes as well.
If you don't like smoked items then these are not for you since they have a strong smoked flavor. I think that is what makes them extra good.
