Good first brewAug 01, 2010
By staysicc This was my first homebrew and it turned out really good. Ipa's are my personal favorite beer so thats why i chose this. A couple things, The fermenting went a little faster then what i expected and the the carbonation happened a lot faster then i expected also. Even though i don't think it's a very high alcohol brew, it's got the bite of some of the imperial ipa's but not as hoppy. over all a great beer, next time i do it i think i'll add extra hops and sugar to boost flavor and alcohol. cheers!

Could potentially yield a quality brew if I knew what the hell I was doing. Definitely recommend for a beginner to homebrewing. The only advice from experience I can give is: ignore the directions provided where it says to use cane sugar in the wort. Use malt extract for that portion and then use corn sugar when bottling. Using cane sugar makes it taste cidery, and you'll end up with a little over 2 cases of off tasting beer, unless that's what you're going for.
