Fantastic healthy natural alternative to typical store-bought pudding mixesNov 12, 2007

My family and I discovered this years ago via a natural foods buying club when it was first introduced. Once the kids were grown, we got away from buying it. However, I decided recently to see if it was still available, and was thrilled to find Mori-Nu still made it.
If you're not familiar with tofu or got turned off by it previously, try a packet of this with a package of tofu. Unless you're a "super sweet foods" sort of person, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
BTW, Mori-Nu's own product works the best because it comes out the smoothest with the least blending. However, other brands will work. You just have to blend it longer. You may also want to experiment with the amount of liquid you use per batch. The recommended amount seems to work fine with Mori-Nu tofu, but you'll probably find you need to add more liquid with other tofu.

I've been buying this for several years and just love it!!! A top-notch product with a totally reasonable price tag. When making it, I sometimes add a couple of teaspoons of either peppermint oil or peppermint schnapps, and it's really wonderful. My auntie adds a couple of teaspoons of orange juice to her mix, and it's really good, too. I highly recommend this product to vegans, and for those who have a dairy-free diet.

I made the chocolate pudding using the blender instructions (unbelievably easy and fast). My husband won't generally eat tofu, but I gave him a bowl of this and he loved it. It's extra tasty with fresh cut strawberries on top. If you have non-tofu eaters in your house, give this a try - just don't tell them it's tofu until after they go yum!

DELICIOUS! and oh-so-easy to make!
I've been a huge fan of the mori-nu brand of silken tofu for years. It's unbeatably smooth texture, consistent quality, and long-term storage capability make it a convenient way for me to sneak in some extra protein into my daily diet. So up until last month, I thought i was fully satisfied with my tofu needs.
Enter: Morinu Mates chocolate pudding mix.
"Yum!" does not do this product justice. Perhaps "Yum x Yum x infinity" would be a better synopsis. I added some cinnamon to one batch, and Chinese five-spice mix to another for added variety. Sooooo good. I expect it might work well as a vegan dessert crepe filling or sauce for chocolate pizza too.
