5Subtly smokey goodnessMar 13, 2008

Hojicha is a delicious every day tea. And the Mighty Leaf bags are especially nice because they're silken and won't impart any "paper" flavor into your brew. I hunted down this tea after suffering too many terrible decaf black teas. True, hojicha has a bit more caffeine than a decaf tea, but when I consider the flavor pay-off (nice subtle smokiness, not even a hint of bitterness) I can't really go back. Sometimes, I "decaffeinate" it myself by letting it steep for 45 seconds in hot water, tossing out the brew, and then drinking the second infusion. (From what I've read, the caffeine comes out in the initial steeping). I lose a little flavor when I do this, but it's still much tastier than any commercial decaf I've ever had.

5Smooth, suble green teaMar 03, 2010

This is an incredibly smooth, subtle green tea. Not bitter at all--even after over-steeping--and very pleasant to drink. Love that it's organic too!

5I'll never miss coffee again!Nov 20, 2009
By T. Smith "T. Smith"
I just steeped this pouch twice in a mug and sat and inhaled this roasted, nutty fragrance for a moment before savoring each drink.....I have been looking for a tea I enjoy enough to start my day (and replace coffee) and I just found it!!!!

5Mighty Leaf Green Tea: Better Than LiptonOct 26, 2007
By Nom dePlume
Mighty Leaf Tea pouches are near whole leaf tea in a handsewn pouch. As easy to use as Lipton tea bags, but far more delicious. Green tea offers anti-oxidant benefits, and the leafs are distinguishable as such, rather than crumbled powder in more conventional American tea bags. Mighty Leaf Organic Hojicha is flavorful, full-bodied, light colored tea. It's good for you, good for the environment.
