Tasty lunch on the cheapAug 19, 2007

Tasty lunch with a bit of spiciness -- MTR's meals are a bit spicier than the samplings I've had from Tasty Bite, but still quite good. You'll want to bring along some rice for maximum enjoyment.

hmm. can get tired of it, but it's OK.Jun 18, 2011
By Paul I love Mukhani Paneer, just love it. While at work, I heat up this amazing rice: GoGo Rice White Rice Bowl, Organic, Microwaveable, 7.4 Ounce Bowls (Pack of 12), and stir them together. If I'm really lucky, I have some roti to go with it. Otherwise, a fork suffices.
The cons: 1) It needs more paneer. I have trouble finding the paneer in it at times. 2) It sits in a bag--I mean, it just isn't homemade or restaurant quality.
UPDATE: I really am getting tired of it. I think I'm better off trying to make it myself.

surprisingly tasty for a packaged foodAug 12, 2011

I really enjoy the MTR paneer makhani-- so much so that bought it in bulk on Amazon. The makhani sauce is delicious, and the paneer chunks, while small, are plentiful. It is a lower-calorie (only 180!!), very filling, and yummy lunch at work option.
Love this stuff!May 24, 2012
By Reanna Perez I adore this stuff and with Amazon subscribe and save it's wicked cheap. It's a great quick lunch or dinner for when I am feeling lazy. I have a couple notes about it though: - Of course it's not restaurant quality. If you're an elitist don't buy this. It comes in a freaking pouch. If you expect "properly simmered spices" and whatnot you're probably going to be disappointed. I love authentic indian food, but I also love cheap pouch food. I am the kind of person who adores authentic ramen, but also enjoys a good bowl of top ramen. If you take it for what it is you wont be disappointed. - It says 'serves 2', but I eat a pouch to myself poured over a bowl of rice. I am 105lbs (of course I don't diet - that is my normal twinkie-scarfing weight so I do eat larger portions than most small women. Still two average people are not going to share one pouch of this stuff.) - I usually get 8-10 chunks of paneer per pouch. I could use about 8-10 more, but I don't think it's an unreasonably small amount for the price.
Ingredients listApr 24, 2012
By K. Henderson I have not tried the product, so I can't actually rate it, but wanted to list the ingredients for those out there that have food allergies such as myself. I am severely allergic to cashews, so I really need to know the ingredients of Indian food since it is quite common.
Ingredients : - tomato, water, onion, cottage cheese, ghee, butter, cashewnut, ginger, refined veg oil, salt, garlic, coriander, sugar, red chilli, cumin, turmeric, copra, green chilli, cinnamon, big cardamom, bay leaf, clove and spices.
