Hot, spicy, smokey, it's got it all!Jan 20, 2009

I've been using Louisiana's Chipotle Pepper Hot Sauce for several years and I think it is probably in my top three hot sauces of all time in terms of flavor and heat.
And the odd thing about this sauce is that you actually taste the smoke flavor BEFORE the heat. Most of the time the heat and smoke come together, or even the heat before the smoke. Also it isn't super vinegary like Tabasco sauce is.
I've put this stuff on nachos, tacos, enchiladas, sandwiches, in cheese sauces, soups, drinks, stews, you name it, I've probably used this stuff.
The only thing I might be able to complain about the stuff is that it is a bit runny.
If you want heat, spice, and smoke all in one package, get this stuff!
Pros:
Pretty cheap.
Very chipotley taste.
Good on everything.
Cons:
A bit runny.
