And it was. It took our chefs three years to create the Log Cabin Sugar Free recipe. We think it is the best sugar free syrup you can buy. Log Cabin has been making authentic, maple tasting syrup for 120 years. Did you know the brand was created in honor of a true American hero? Minnesota grocer Patrick J. Towle introduced the brand in 1887, and named it in honor of his childhood hero and true American icon, President Abraham Lincoln. For all of you history buffs, you know that President Lincoln grew up in a log cabin, deep in the woods of Illinois – hence the brand name LOG CABIN, chosen by Mr. Towle to honor President Lincoln. With a history like that, it is no surprise that Log Cabin continues to stand for the most authentic syrup, known for its unique maple taste. | | | Features: | |

NEW RECIPE LOG CABIN SUGAR FREE:PERHAPS THE BEST SUGAR FREE SYRUPJul 25, 2010
By Big Ron I've tried many sugar free syrups - from the original Log Cabin syrup, to Mrs. Butterworth's, to Maple Grove. One thing I've always hated is the gummy texture of all these syrups. The taste of all was about the same and more on the just-below-light-syrups side. Log Cabin has come out with a revised sugar free syrup which says, "great new taste" on the top of the bottle (7/10). It not only tastes better and slightly richer but it flows like real maple syrup! Not gummy!
When comparing the different sugar-free syrups, check the amount of sugar alcohol on the nutrition facts label. The higher that number the sweeter it will obviously be.

loving the sugar free log cabinAug 17, 2010
By pcdreid I and my family love this product! We are able to enjoy that old time Log Cabin taste without all the sugar and extra calories. I even carry it with me when I go out to eat at IHOP or any other establishment that serves, pancakes, waffles or biscuits. It was once available at the grocery store, I am glad it's now available at Amazon.com
Best for diabeticsJul 16, 2009
By Adam Ek This is the best tasting sugar-free syrup I've had since I was diagnosed with diabetes three years ago. Is it as good as pure maple syrup? No, but it's the best sugar-free syrup I've found.

I knew Log Cabin syrup, and you're no Log Cabin syrup.Oct 04, 2008
By David S. After acquiring the Log Cabin brand, Pinnacle Foods (which also owns Mrs Butterworths) reformulated Log Cabin. It no longer contains any maple syrup at all; now it contains artificial flavors instead. Some of those flavors (probably the artificial butter?) are really foul, and the syrup tastes positively horrible. (Logcabinsyrups.com says they now have a 100% pure maple syrup variety; that one might be OK, but I wouldn't touch the others with a 10-foot french toast stick.)
