These stew mixtures are great as a stew starter in a slow cooker. I add potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, canned black or kidney beans, canned tomatoes, and cut up chicken breast or fish fillets, plus some creamed condensed soup. Takes about an hour to prepare and 8-10 hours to cook. You'll have hearty stew for days, or freeze in individual containers for microwave reheating. Enjoy!
