I usually feed my 3 & 2 year olds oatmeal for breakfast. My little girl only likes quaker strawberries and cream oatmeal, so I thought I would give this a try. This seems to be a standard cream of wheat, sweetened, with strawberry flavor (almost exactly the same flavor of the aforementioned oatmeal). One serving is about twice as much as a pack of oatmeal too. It did get really thick though, almost the texture of grits. It was quite tasty though it will take a little getting used to (I have 6 lbs of it now!!!).

I simply love this cereal. Both the maple & the strawberry taste completely natural & it really isn't that difficult to cook. People say it is "like" Cream-of-Wheat or Farina --- but the texture is slightly more grainy & the flavor is great. With the maple I add a little cinnamon but the strawberry stands alone.
Take my advice, use milk instead of water -- the result is far superior. Also, the instructions say to use a 3-to-1 ratio of liquid to cereal but that makes it like mortar. Make it with a 4-to-1 with milk.
Also, be warned, do not let the pan (or your bowl for that matter) dry out without cleaning. The stuff dries up like concrete. Simply fill both with water & they'll be fine till they're wshed.

The flavor of this cereal is pretty decent. It is finicky to cook, and you do NOT want to cook it in the microwave, despite it having microwave directions. My biggest problem with the product is that it has artificial flavors. When I bought it, I don't recall seeing ingredients listed online. I bought it figuring, germade is supposed to be this healthy cereal, it MUST have real ingredients. There are no pieces of fruit or anything in case you're wondering.
Anyways, if you like making stovetop cereals and could care less about the artificial flavoring, it's a decent pick-up. I personally won't be buying it again.
