Germade is pretty much the same thing as Cream-of-Wheat, Farina and Malt-O-Meal. Just brand names for the same thing. This tastes really yummy and buying 2-3 lb bags is MUUUUCH more economical than those tiny packets you get from the supermarket. Better for the environment too. Germade tastes better than cream-of-wheat and just as good as malt-o-meal. The packaging is a resealable brown bag with a plastic bag liner. Never heard of Lehi Roller Mills? I did a little googling. They are a mom an pop business from the town in Lehi, Utah where the movie "Footloose" was located. They also supply flour to bigger companies like KFC.

I simply love this cereal. Both the maple & the strawberry taste completely natural & it really isn't that difficult to cook. People say it is "like" Cream-of-Wheat or Farina --- but the texture is slightly more grainy & the flavor is great. With the maple I add a little cinnamon but the strawberry stands alone.
Take my advice, use milk instead of water -- the result is far superior. Also, the instructions say to use a 3-to-1 ratio of liquid to cereal but that makes it like mortar. Make it with a 4-to-1 with milk.
Also, be warned, do not let the pan (or your bowl for that matter) dry out without cleaning. The stuff dries up like concrete. Simply fill both with water & they'll be fine till they're washed.
I used to be able to buy this at Cabellas but they dropped it a couple of years ago. There are a few places on line you can buy this but Amazon is the place to buy it.

Maple & Brown Sugar Germade is one of my favorite breakfast cereals. I have also heard it referred to as Farina. I really like the taste. When my supply started to run low, I went back to the storage food store, I normally shop at, and discovered they did not have anymore. I then found a limited supply on Amazon, and immediately purchased some. When growing up, I preferred Germade over Cream-Of-Wheat, though back then, it did not come in the Maple and Brown Sugar flavor. I am disappointed that it is getting harder to find in larger packaging such as this, and wonder what is up with that. A pack of 2 each, 3 lb. bags is an economical way to buy. I hope this Amazon is able again keep in stock.
