Perfect for single serving without the mess of cleanup. Also great as a substitute for expensive 'sports gels'. Flavor is strong, but very smooth.Kraft Pure Honey, 9-Gram Packages (Pack of 200)

4Good for the moneySep 13, 2011
By Jamie Glisson "jgliss"
I must admit after I realized this was foreign honey I did feel a bit guilty for ordering . . . it is a mix of a few different countries . . . I am used to local honey so it does have a bit of a different taste to me . . . It just tastes extra honey-y . . . if that makes sense to whoever is reading this :) With that being said, it is my job to find supplies for my office at the best price possible and I very much met that goal with this product . . . this was the best price I could find anywhere . . . and I looked for days! there was like a 60% difference at some online stores. The shipping was a little slow to get to me but everyone seems happy for the most part. With the taste being so concentrated less is used so the product lasts longer . . . so all in all with less waste and the money saved this is a great deal. . . just not for locals.

Product of US, Brazil and Vietnam. I think the honey from Brazil is very good. Not sure, but I guess Brazil is famous for its honey, like the US is good at producing microprocessors, and everyone wants Cuba cigars. It tastes good. It is inexpensive. It is convenient to carry around.

This was a great purchase. It's convenient to take on the road with me on my travels... I'm never without my honey now!

1Not as good as it sounds...Mar 17, 2010

Kraft Pure Honey. Sounds wonderful and "oh-so-wholesome", right? Well maybe, but there is a problem. When this product arrived I learned that it was a product of the USA, Brazil, and Vietnam. There are two problems with that.

The first is that US honey producers are struggling to survive, and cannot hope to compete with the price of honey produced in the third world. Why do we care? Because they are vital to our survival, and our ability to produce food. We need to make a concerted effort to patronize US honey.

The second concern is that many pesticides banned here in the US are still used in places like Vietnam and Brazil. (And the ones still in use here are bad enough!) Because of the nature of bees and the production of honey, it seems inevitable that some contamination is likely to occur. For that reason, I am not terribly thrilled with the idea of consuming honey originating anywhere other than the US, Canada, or Europe.

Other than the above concerns, the honey is well packaged, and visually attractive. But I am now looking for a source of honey packets containing only honey sourced in the US.
