 Pre-measured servings, convenient for take out lunches and those who count calories!Dec 30, 2009

I buy the Kraft Parmesan Grated cheese every month. I love the taste and put in on a lot of foods. There are two downsides to a regular container: it is tough to measure out servings, and once the container has been in the fridge for a day or so, the cheese begins to stick together (then you have to open the container and use a fork to break the cheese up; pain in the neck!).
The individual packages are the perfect solution. One package is about two table spoons (one serving). I typically use two packages at a time (it is great for those who are counting calories!). The packages do not have to be stored in the fridge, hence no sticking of the cheese. They can be taken out to work, school, on a picnic. The price is comparable to the price of the cheese in a regular container. I hope Amazon will stock the light parmesan packages soon!

Being single, I do not use up either a bottle or chunk of Parmesan cheese very quickly. These small packets keep the Parmesan fresh and the amount is a reasonable serving. In the long run, it can not be anymore expensive that throwing away stale cheese.

This is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen. The wastefulness of this packaging is incredible. By buying this item you are contributing to filling of landfills, environmental destruction, and overwhelming inefficiency. Furthermore, on a per-ounce basis this item is considerably more expensive than cheese in large canisters. Avoid this silly product if you care about the environment or your wallet!
