Meh, not really all that greatOct 22, 2010

I've used these on two separate occasions.
The first was when these tissues first got released. While I didn't entirely see the reasoning behind making anti-viral tissue & still don't (if I throw them away afterwards then who's going to be touching them?), I was willing to give them a try. I wasn't impressed. The tissues weren't very soft & like I said, the anti-viral stuff doesn't really help anyone out if those tissues are just going straight into the trash can.
I ended up giving them a second chance when I saw the box proudly proclaim that there was lotion on them. Yeah... not so much. While they were softer than what I had remembered, they still weren't nearly as soft as my box of Puffs Plus Vicks tissues were & even then, those weren't nearly as soft as the normal Puffs Plus.
While these weren't the worst tissues I've ever had (Marcal has that "honor"), I just can't really justify purchasing these again when I know that there's better product out there. Save your money, buy some Puffs Plus & get some antibacterial gel for your hands instead of for your discarded tissues. Three stars for the improved product & for it not being sandpapery (I'd get these if I couldn't get my hands on Puffs), but I can't justify giving it higher than that.

I am not sure the cause, although I have read they contain citric acid and sulphate. BUT when I had a bad head cold these BURNED my nose. It felt as if my nose and the insides of my nostrils were on fire while I was using these. I eventually ran out of these kleenex within the hour and switched to a roll of toilet paper and felt instant relief.
The antiviral stuff is located on the inside (middle) layer but when you have a wet cold and are using a lot of kleenex, it begins to irritate the already very sensitive nose.

I keep some of these around for when someone at our house gets a cold. It's great to have a kleenex product that helps to control the spread of germs. Handy.

With 2 kids in 2 different schools and 2 adults who work, someone seems to always need a tissue especially this time of year! For what it is worth, I can tell you that because of more hand washing/sanitizing and using these tissues, we have been able to keep the germ sharing down to a minimum for a couple of years!

I feel better knowing the office germs are somewhat contained. Maybe it's just the placebo effect. They don't rip and are easy on the skin.
