This COUGH product COUGH is COUGH bad.Jan 20, 2012
I bought the jalapeno seasoning thinking it would be a great flavor to add to my popcorn. The good part is that it does indeed taste decent. However, the seasoning is so fine that it makes me cough whenever I try to breath; it gets into my nose and also makes me sneeze. I'm thinking about returning this as the product needs to be improved for me to even consider purchasing another one.

Impossible to Eat!!!!!Feb 25, 2013
By B. Lund
I honestly don't think I believe any of the good reviews on this product because it's impossible to eat!! I love spicy jalapeno flavored snacks and was excited to find this at Walmart, but as soon as I opened the lid the powder fumes went up my nose and burned my sinuses. I persisted and sprinkled it on popcorn and again the fumes burned my lungs and breathing passages and made me cough like crazy. Not to be discouraged, I tried eating some but couldn't stop coughing long enough to enjoy it. It's truly toxic! If you can manage to eat without breathing, maybe it would be okay. Otherwise, forget it! This product should be recalled!!

What the COUGHOct 29, 2012
This flavor hurts. It tastes good, but the trick is that you need to put it on the popcorn and then let it sit for a few hours on buttered or oiled popcorn. If you don't, your nose will feel attacked every time you eat a piece. It feels like wasabi. I don't have this reaction with the other flavors so I would have to guess that it is realy jalapeno powder bothering my histamines.
I am not the only one to have this reaction. Everyone but one of us was coughing and sneezing.
The exception is when I added it to leftover popcorn and ate it the next day.....
The taste is great but they REALLY need to do something about the reactions people get while eating it.

Evening guests wearing out their welcome? Start a movie and pop in a bag of popcorn into the microwave and sprinkle this all oveSep 11, 2013

... and sprinkle this all over the bowl. Your guests will be coughing and gagging their way home. Makes a great self-defense weapon too. My wife carries a bottle in her purse just in case. I've also been using it in my front yard for nuisance pests and some neighborhood pets that like to take a "break" in my yard. Great repellent that is also edible. I keep mine stored in the garage.

How did this product ever reach the market?Jul 17, 2013
Unfortunately, I purchased this in the grocery store and didn't have a chance to check reviews prior to purchase.
Like many of the other reviewers, I find this product absolutely ridiculous. I can't taste any cheese or jalepeno. The only thing I do notice, is that before the popcorn reaches my mouth, I find myself inhaling this product causing me to violently cough my popcorn all over the place.
It's absurd. This product doesn't belong in the grocery store or in your home. It belongs on the set of a slapstick comedy movie.
Stay away. (This review is for Kernel Season's Cheesy Jalepeno Popcorn Seasoning)
