It makes for a nice transition from super-sugary-choco-puffsJul 07, 2007

Having been raised on the typical late 60s/early 70s diet of sugar, grease and salt, I'm unable to choke down a bowl of tree bark and seaweed at 0-dark-thirty. Healthy as it may be, I am not able to live on nuts and berries and chewy, hard foods. I need a little sugar with my morning meal.
Frosted Mini-Wheats are a nice compromise between eating chocolate cake for breakfast (my favorite) or the other end of the health-conscious spectrum, gnawing on those hideously awful grape nuts (otherwise known and described as bite-size gravel bits).
It was my teenage daughter who first turned me on to these miniwheat cereals. Now I eat them right out of the box like a snack. They're full of fiber, quite tasty and not too hard to chew. Speaking as someone who gave up raw vegetables years ago (due to dental woes), the miniwheats are easy on the teeth and good for the body.
Another plus is the nutritional ratings. Now, I know these vitamins are just sprayed on in a massive chemical shower whilst rolling down the conveyor belt, but hey, vitamins are vitamins. One serving (24 little miniwheats) have 25% RDA of all the good stuff and 90% of your daily iron needs.
Of all the flavors, the plain is my least favorite. But, even this flavor isn't too shabby.

still one of our favoritesJan 09, 2007
By D. Kohn My family always enjoys Mini Wheats and this shipment was no exception. Everything was just as tasty as store-bought. I have recommended Amazon to family and friends. When I had a question, Amazon was right there to solve the problem.

Full and FocusedMay 17, 2008

Kellogg's Mini-Wheats, 24-Ounce Box (Pack of 4).
Frosted mini shredded wheat is our favorite cereal. We have it for breakfast or supper several times a week. We like the flavor. The taste is important for us. We're not children, but we still like this cereal.
The fiber keeps us full and keeps us focused. The calorie count is almost as good as some of the lighter cereals, and we find we eat less by eating something filling.
The endosperm is a source of proteins and carbohydrates, and the carbohydrates give us energy. We rely on the wheat bran to keep us "fiberfied." According to the Kellogg's people, a bowl of this delicious cereal provides almost 25% of a person's fiber daily fiber requirement. We like the wheat germ, which has antioxidants, folate, thiamin, B6, zinc, magnesium, and manganese.
There are two problems. We can buy other brands that are less expensive.
I do not know that Kellogg's is superior to the cheaper brands. This is one kind of cereal that tastes good if I don't buy th pretty box.
The other problem is the sugar coating. When I was a child, my mother used to feed me those big shredded wheat biscuits. I probably added more sugar than I get in the Frosted Mini-Wheats. So that problem is not really a problem when I take an honest look at my eating habits.
Product great--delivery slowApr 13, 2010
By C. Higgins I try to eat high fiber cereal every day. This fills the bill. But it took almost three weeks to be delivered. I bought a box at the store and ate it before it arrived.
