Fresh-pack vegetables and noodles, authentic sauces, premium ingredients - that's why Ka-Me's Teriyaki noodle dish tastes so great. And what could be easier! Just two pouches. Mix, heat and serve right in the box or with your favorite entree. Ka-Me brings the traditional appeal of Japanese cuisine, with carrots, garlic and sesame seeds, to your table in just two minutes. Authentic Japanese recipe. Sweet, salty, tangy, Teriyaki is the quintessential Japanese sauce, a sophisticated blend of Shoyu, natural oils, garlic, rice vinegar, and spices. Modern Japanese cuisine emerged in the 18th century, initiated by Japan's wealthy merchant class that introduced innovative, elegantly presented dishes in restaurants. This trend spread to noodle snack shops and the working class, creating a national cooking fashion. The Orient has a rich heritage of symbols and folklore. Ka-Me (Kah-May) translated, means turtle. According to Japanese legend, the turtle signifies a long and happy life, and longevity flows from native ingredients. Traditional Asian food is simple, drawing from local spices and healthful ingredients. Asian cuisine reveals a premium quality that can only come from authenticity. This was a gift and the recipient disliked the product. Basically, a waste of money, as the 5 remaining cartons were never opened.

1Feed It To PrisonersJan 12, 2012
By Robin N. Harbin "Magic Emperor"
Never again will I assault my mouth with a product from this company. I'd rather eat a box of fermented jockstraps. Maybe that's going a little far, but this... filth isn't fit to feed to my dogs. I think that the federal and state governments need to buy this wholesale and feed it to prisoners. You want reformed inmates? Make them eat this and the US's prisons will be empty.

1.) Empty noodles into the box.
2.) Gag.
3.) Separate noodles with a fork.
4.) Pour sauce over noodles.
5.) Gag.
6.) Heat for 2 minutes.
7.) Stir concoction, gag, take a bite, spit it out, swallow your pride, and throw it away.
8.) Eat something else.

"What would you have wanted to know before you purchased the product?" That it tasted terrible. Specifics: the noodles were rubbery, yet tore like parchment, and that the sauce was made from the condensed secretions of dung beetles and slugs.

1taste is bad, noodles were all stuck togetherSep 20, 2011

The instructions for this meal indicate you should empty the noodles into the box, and break them apart with a fork. I did that. Then it tells you to add the sauce (this doesn't taste anything like teriyaki sauce), and microwave it for 2 minutes.

I followed the instructions, and when I opened the box, I got a clumped up noodle meal with poor taste. I threw half of it away. Out of all the microwave and frozen meals I eat, this one rates as one of my lowest.

4Actually pretty addictingSep 08, 2011

I'm not sure what the other reviewers were expecting out of this. I've had a lot of microwavable noodles, and this is one of the better brands. If you're looking for Americanised teriyaki chicken or something like that, you aren't going to get that here. These are noodles with teriyaki sauce. One of the things I like about Kame is that the noodles are pre-cooked. They're stored in a moisture pouch with oil, so all you have to do is heat them up.

Cooking tip: don't worry about seperating the noodles straight away. Just remove them from the pouch, push them to the bottom, and pour the sauce over. Then wait for it to be heated before stiring/seperating the noodles. It makes it much easier.
