I also bought a 6 pack of the Almond flavor macaroons about a month ago and found them inedible. The almond flavor tasted like rubbing alcohol. I tried contacting the company since I couldn't return to Amazon but they have ignored my email.

We've bought Jennies macaroons for years now, so when we saw they had almond flavored macaroons, we didn't bat an eye. Bought 'em right away. When my daughter and I tasted them, we had to spit it all out. Maybe they were expired? There was no way to tell, but they were sickening. Due to them not being returnable, we had to throw out all 6 cans. The whole experience was hard to swallow.

These cookies are so moist and delicious,I save them as my special treat. For all of you on the SCD, these are a real indulgence and they are legal too! Amazon has been my best access to getting them. The price is great too.

I had tried Jennies individually-wrapped coconut macaroons a couple of years ago and loved them. Unfortunately, these canned almond macaroons are totally different. They're dry and hard, with a totally different texture than I expected. They are edible, but hardly the delicious treats I expected.
Jennies also changed the recipe last year. These used to be sweetened entirely with honey, and I learned about Jennies from people following the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. They are now made with evaporated cane juice (meaning sucrose), putting them off-limits to the SCD followers who I know constituted a substantial part of their customer base. As I write this, Amazon still has the old ingredient information. This is my first time trying these canned macaroons, so I don't know if this made a difference in texture or taste.
