5Convenient, easy, and deliciousOct 28, 2008
By Gaz Rendar
I tried the Jell-O instant singles packs and they work great. Just add some milk and one single-shot packet, stir, and let it sit in the fridge for 5-10 minutes. It turns out great. There will still be a little bit of the "gritty-ness" that you find from instant pudding, but I actually like the texture.

The main advantage here is that you get to use a small, single-serving portion whenever you want instead of having to make up a full bowl and then portion it into smaller dishes. So if you don't want to convince 3 other people to have some dessert with you, this is a great option. Pour and mix, and there's no mess. Perfect for a bachelor pad.

That said, I do prefer the chocolate flavor a little bit more...

5perfect for a single personJul 28, 2009

My children are all grown up and I live alone. This is perfect!!!!! When I would make a box of 4 servings jello pudding I got tired of the same dessert for 4 days in a row. . With this I can mix it up while my dinner is getting made and when it is time for dessert it is set. I just wish amazon sold in in regular chocolate not sugar free. This is a great product.

5Very Happy with this productJun 09, 2009
By Ashley S. "Ashley"
I didnt buy the Jell-O singles from amazon, however I did find them in one of my smaller grocery stores around here. Being a person who detests pudding cups(with the exception of the triple chocolate snack packs), these made my day. The flavor is the delicious vanilla that I would get from making a regular box of pudding. I didnt have any problems with the powder not dissolving. Within two minutes everything was mixed thoroughly and within 5 minutes I had perfectly set pudding, in a perfect sized portion.

1Gritty, Bland, and Silly Concept for PuddingMar 12, 2009
By Kat "kttykat16"
Jello must be masochistic. They took one of their beloved snacks - jello pudding - and found a way to ruin it by creating Jello Pudding Singles. The concept is great - just add a 1/2 cup milk to the packaged powder and stir. Let it set for 5-10 minutes and presto! Instant pudding. This is where the problems begin.

I was stirring and stirring the pudding, but no matter how much I stirred, there were still clumps of pudding that just wouldn't dissolve. This resulted in several clumps of coagulated jello with gritty centers. The pudding itself also tasted bland compared to the boxed and refrigerated versions. I tried altering the amount of milk to no avail - less milk made the pudding clumpier while more milk made it clumpy and watery at the same time.

On top of that, it took about 5 minutes for the jello to actually set. While I wasn't too bothered by that, I am still mystified why anyone would buy this. If I were bringing this for lunch, why would I want to have one more dish to wash - I could easily buy the refrigerated pudding singles. ie - no cup to clean, no measuring cup to find, no milk to buy. Same thing applies at home if I actually only wanted 1 serving of pudding - otherwise, it's cheaper to buy a box of pudding and make the 4 servings and eat it over a period of a day or two. If you think this is easier for kids to make, again, why not buy the small box of pudding and have the kids make 4 servings? If anything, most kids would probably plow through all the pudding anyways. Any leftovers could also be frozen and made into pudding pops.

While it was fun to try the sample of this pudding, I would never actually buy it. Jello should stick to their refrigerated pudding cups and boxed mixes for pudding. Not recommended.
