5Something different in snacks.Apr 27, 2009
By The Autoextremist
Twiglets, as far as I know, were first brought to America in the late 50s from Great Britain. I had them when I was a kid through the 60s and always remembered them. One day when I was roaming around the Internet I thought of them and did a search, and lo and behold, I found them on Amazon.

Twiglets are simply unlike any other snack. Indescribably zesty, flavorful and healthier than 95 percent of the other things out there, I highly recommend them. And yes, they do look like twigs...

Live on the wild side and try something really different, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

5Hard to Stop Eating TheseMar 26, 2009
By Repetitive Redundancy
'Tastes like whole wheat crackers glazed with a salty beer concentrate. This a great product at a great price. Manufactured in and shipped from England; at about $2.30 (for a 150 gram bag) the price is comparable to what the Brits pay at their local corner shop. So, now we Yanks can munch away without feeling our wallets were gouged for the trans-Atlantic shipping costs.

5Best of British Snacks!Mar 25, 2009
By Cousin It
My husband can't get enough of these very unusual snacks. They are whole wheat and are shaped to look like twigs...hence the name. The flavour is a quite strong and savoury one that it is difficult to describe. They normally cost around $4 or more to buy in the US so this deal with 23% off makes them about $2.28 so a bargain and with free shipping you can't go wrong. If you haven't tried them before just find a way to try them before you buy a box of this size. They would be a great novelty to serve at a party with other snacks and dips. These are hugely popular in the UK and very highly recommended.

5Simply the perfect snack food!!!Dec 08, 2009

Years ago I saw the wonderful Christmas episode of Mr. Bean in which he dips tree twigs in Marmite and wondered why that was supposed to be funny. I finally asked a British friend of mine who explained it was a joke about a snack food called Twiglets. She sent me some and I quickly became addicted to the things.

They are shaped like twigs and are made of whole wheat--the fiber count is pretty high. They are crunchy, low in fat and taste yeasty, as does Marmite. The review which likens the taste to beer is also apt. The only potential down side is that they are fairly salty.

Still, you might want to try the smaller bags before buying large bags in bulk. Since Marmite is very much a love it or hate it affair you might not like Twiglets. Some members of my family hate them (they claim they taste burnt) but I say they are heathens. They do agree with me that Twiglets are not like any other snack food...and I would not want to be without them. Fortunately the price at Amazon (when they are available) is amazingly good. I have paid much more for them from British import sites. I only wish they were readily available in the United States.

5Scrunchiest, uniquely delicious but addictive snackOct 03, 2009

Twiglets are the most scrunchiest (scrumptious and crunchy), uniquely delicious AND addictive snack.

Imported from England and not easy to find in the gourmet food stores in Manhattan so I stock up on them at Amazon.

Not for every taste - so I'd suggest you purchase the single bag first.
