 Probable Problem with the CartridgesFeb 29, 2012

I ordered the five-pack of Iomega REV 70 GB cartridges from BarbJewels. They came in the proper container, and I thought everything would be fine. Wrong. None of them worked in my Iomega REV 70 GB drive--the drive just blinked on and off. Running REV diagnostics resulted in the error "Running the hardware test failed with error 0x80000058." Pressing the button of the drive did not eject the cartridge (or any of the cartridges), so I had to use a paper clip in the hole. I then thought that maybe my REV drive was the problem, so I ordered a new drive from Comet Enterprises. But: same result--none of the five cartridges worked in the new drive, either. REV diagnostics gave the same error message. So I'm now pretty sure that the cartridges are faulty and have requested replacements from BarbJewels. If the replacement cartridges work, I'll update this review.

I was happy to find this product as I was in need of some new ones. However when I received them and put them in the drive the whole thing crashed. The drive was damaged. So I had to buy a new drive. When I contacted barbjewels they said there was no way it could be from the disks but seeing as there was nothing wrong with the drive before I am certain that it was from these disks. Please be careful when purchasing this item.
