This Iomega Portable HD is great, its small, sleek, and fast. It has some integrated shock absorbers that make this portable since they proctect if from the wear and tear of travel. However if you are a traveling student that needs to switch between mac and pc, you will need to partition and format this for Mac, once you partition one side for Mac and the other for PC you will have no issues using this on the two machines.

I absolutely love this hard drive -it's tiny! I had to buy it for a class so I carry it around with me all day, but it fits inside my pencil case and weighs next to nothing. Everyone else in the class lugs around bulky hard drives. It hasn't given me any problems at all -it just gets a little bit warm when it's left plugged in.

I didn't give this Iomega Portable Hard Drive much use. However, when my older laptop suddenly died, I was mighty glad to have about 100 pages of a manuscript I was working on saved. There is no price I could put on what that meant to me.
I got it as a gift, and I will be forever grateful that it functioned as well as it did. Not a very technical review, but this item is worth a million bucks to me.
Recommended.

I've had some bad luck with external hard drives such as the Simpletech....but I have two of these hard drives for about a year and so far they are doing the job. So I'll give it a good rating and we'll pray they last.
