only four bucks at local storesFeb 23, 2012

This is the best fish sauce I tried for fish noodles soup (SE Asian dish with rice noodles, "Khanom Jin" in Thai, "Mohinga" in Burmese, "Nyonya Assam Laksa" in Malay). I pay a few cents less than four bucks at Latin/Asian/International stores in DC area. If you are in DC, you can find it in some stores including Latin groceries in DC Farmers Market. I am glad to find Amazon carries this brand but wish the same price as local stores.
Not sure I need 2 ! Good product !Nov 28, 2011
By K. Lynch This is a really big bottle. Two in fact! I really needed a smaller amount but it doesn't expire for 2 years so I suppose I will be making a lot of Thai food. Anyway, I bought this as my grocery store did not carry it and I was making Thai food. The recipe turned out really well. Now I am looking for more recipes to use this in.
Great fish flavor, essential in many Asian foodsMar 19, 2011

I've used all kinds of fish sauce over the years but I think Three Crabs is my new favorite. It has a nice fish flavor yet isn't overpoweringly salty like some brands. That's a plus when you want to add soy sauce to your Asian food in addition to the fish sauce. The ingredients are water, anchovies, hydrolyzed wheat protein (secret name for MSG) and sugar. I wish it didn't contain MSG, so I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5.
The price for two bottles is $16, but you get two 24 ounce bottles. The average recipe calls for a couple of tablespoons so it will last a long time.
If you cook lots of Asian food like I do, give this tasty fish sauce a try!
When I reach for fish sauce, I reach for Three Crab fish sauce. All other brands just stink.Dec 28, 2010
By Bryan Several chefs and cookbooks have pointed me to Three Crab fish sauce as the best available. I agree. If you cook a lot of Vietnamese, Thai, etc. it is worth special ordering.
