A really nice, fresh tomato flavor!Jun 10, 2009

This Imagine Organic Vine Ripened Tomato Soup is really delicious! It actually does taste like the tomatoes were just picked and canned. There are a few, though not as many as I had hoped, of solid tomato pieces amoungst the tomato soup base. The picture of the can makes one think there are chunks and chunks of solid tomato pieces but that's not the reality! The acidity tastes low and the sodium level (1220mg/can) doesn't over whelm the taste buds either. And it's ORGANIC. The sixth item on the ingredients list is 'evaporated cane juice' which is a shame because, for this reason alone, I will not be buying this item as often as I would normally. I still don't know why manufacturers haven't figured out that ECJ is BAD for one's health!!! But despite the flaws, this is a very flavorful tomato soup.
