PINTS not quarts. Too expensive but tastes great.Sep 07, 2008
By M. Y. Price I love this product but I misread the size of the boxes. They are pints, not quarts. You can get these cheaper elsewhere. (Taste is quite nice for 'canned' broth.)

Vegetarian StapleJun 11, 2008
By Dody A great pantry staple for vegetarians. This is wonderful used to cook dried beans. Add some onions, seasonings, hot sauce, and liquid smoke.

Way too expensiveOct 25, 2008
By Evie Getchell This product is actually great. I love it and always keep several containers on hand but I overlooked the size here. I thought I was ordering the larger 1 qt size. My own fault but still I was upset with myself for not catching this error sooner. When the case arrived today and I discovered I had purchased 1 pint containers for almost $32 instead, I cried. I recommend the product but don't buy it from Amazon...any place else will probably be cheaper.

Good Product But OverpricedDec 13, 2008
By Al Chartreux This is quality vegetable broth; the only problem is that it is very much overpriced. You get twelve 16-ounce boxes for $31.68. Please take note that at 16 ounces, each box is one-half the size of the normal, 32-ounce (one quart) stock boxes that you see in the supermarket. So, you're basically paying for six quarts of stock. $31.68 divided by six equals $5.28 per quart, way overpriced. Even in expensive Manhattan markets, a one quart box of stock sells for $2.99. Caveat emptor and happy cooking.

Good substitution for water, enhances both taste and nuturitionJan 19, 2009
By Il Park The product is pretty neutral in taste, although the taste of carrot is somewhat present. I use it for soups, jambalaya, chili/stew, curry, and so on. It can almost always substitute water. If it is too strong I dilute it with water.
