For me, this product nails it. The fit is just right, the material feels great and it washes well. And...it keeps me warm.

I'm skinny and from hot Tucson but love to ski the stormy powder days. 35 years of searching for the perfect ski wear has lead me to this. It's feels like 71 degrees on the lift and in the lodge. The temprature regulation must be experienced to believe how well merino wool works. I also have Ibex wool long johns in this weight and my butt always froze if the lift was snowy, moist or icy till these.
I gave all my capilene and fleece away.
Also put my feet thru a streams icy cover to the water when I couldn't stop fast enough mountain biking. Within 30 seconds my feet were warm.
Even when skiing Aspen and Vail I feel I'm wearing the most stylish and most comfortable gear, but Taos and Wolf Creek get many more of my snow days.
Down doesn't work for aerobic sports, you sweat.
Ideal shirt even for sensitive skin for every activity -stylish too!Dec 30, 2008

I've got skin that's really really sensitive to wool. Every time I've tried a wool product directly on my skin, I found it too uncomfortable to wear for any prolonged period of time. Meaning, itchy. Really, really itchy. When working out, I often wore 'hi-tech' shirts. However, these always smell a bit to me after a workout.
Enter this shirt. I've been able to wear it a few times. It breathes beautifully. I can wear it to work out and frankly go right to brunch if we're late. It really does not smell (my wife would certainly tell me if it did!).
Anyway, I don't normally wax rhapsodic about a product, but I find it a good, well-built product, and would buy another.
