5Sugarworks Grade B Maple SyrupJul 13, 2008
By Neev
Delicious! Amazon is the only place I've been able to find grade B maple syrup in reasonably small containers. It has considerably more intense maple flavor than grade A. The usual assumption is that grade A is better than grade B but unlike eggs or meat, the grade refers to when the syrup is harvested, grade B being the more intensely flavored. Makes pancakes and waffles worth getting up for!

5Addictive! Way better than Grade A!Jan 27, 2009

This stuff is like maple crack! I just can't get enough! Unlike regular Grade A maple syrup this had a x10 flavor boost as well as being thicker and richer! Haven't you ever wished maple syrup had the thicker consistency of the corn syrup maple flavored junk at the stores? Well this does but with a delicious maple flavor that is stronger and tastier than your grade A maple. I wish they carried grade b in the stores. Thanks amazon for carrying grade b maple syrup! I just love it. If I'm ever brave enough I may even try grade C!

5Highland Sugarworks Grade B Maple Syrup better than CoombsMar 31, 2010
By janvier25
My opinion is exactly opposite of B. Atlas'. I'm on Day 5 of a Master Cleanse, drinking lemonade made with Grade B maple syrup and cayenne pepper. I'd tried Coombs before, and thought it was fine, but decided to try Highland next. Ordered Coombs again last week because it was cheaper this time. In a side by side taste test just now, I much preferred Highland for its lighter, less sweet, straightforward Grade B flavor. In comparison, Coombs was a prettier amber color than Highland, but too sweet and with a heavy burnt caramel taste. To my surprise, the caramel doesn't show through in the lemonade, but the maple taste doesn't really either. Though Highland should definitely take packing lessons from Coombs, I'll order it again. Now to get through these two jugs of Coombs first...

5Excellent Grade B SyrupJan 07, 2011
By D. Figueroa
I'm a mapleaholic and have bought many, many grade B syrups over the years. Many are really only good for baking and cooking uses, not so much for pancakes.

This particular syrup is an exception. It has the intense maple flavor of Grade B syrups, but doesn't have the somewhat overpowering molasses overtones that too many of them have.

This syrup is superb on pancakes, yet keeps its integrity in baking. I used it to make my maple walnut cake as well as a maple glaze and both came out perfectly.

Considering how high maple syrup is in the grocery store, with Subscribe and Save, this was an excellent value, as well.
