When I read in PC Magazine that this was the best speaker system they tested, I had to investigate further. When I clicked the link in the magazine article, it led me to Amazon, where I not only found the Hercules item, but found that it was also the most reasonably priced speaker system Amazon sells. At $40, I had to give it a shot. When it arrived, I found that it was even better than I had hoped. It has an input plug that I inserted into a portable DVD player. Man!! What a sound! I plugged it into my computer, and now I watch on-line movies and news videos with better sound than my $2000 TV has. I'm going to get a second one to use with my TV. This really is a great deal on a great sounding sound system.

My original computer speakers always acted up. Sometimes they would work, sometimes they wouldn't. I bought the Hercules speakers because of the look and the price. I haven't had a single problem with them. The sound is crisp and clear. The bass is sharp. You can also plug in headphones or peripherals right into the speaker remote. I love the fact that you can also turn off the speakers without turning off your computer. Does exactly what it says, great buy!

For the money, the sound is exceptional. The base adjusting knob on the sub woofer makes all the difference. Others don't have it. No complaints.

If you are looking for stylish, black speakers that work then these speakers are for you. I use them for gaming, movies, and a music. They will not shake your house or room, but the sound is clear and has good range. The volume control is a handy feature, and the whole system is well constructed. If you are looking to stay in a budget then I'd definetely recommend these to you.

I thought this multi-media speaker kit was a cut above the usual and a good value. The sound is full and the base deep as long as you do not over adjust the boombox or apply too much volume at high base levels. The hookup instructions were not very clear for us novice tekkies. Overall a good buy to upgrade the sound of my students' multi-media presentations in my classroom and to replace those dreadful come with the PC speakers.
