This is an excellent primary layer. It breathes well and keeps you warm. It is mid to heavy weight and works well with fleece over layers. It doesn't get static-y. Durability has been excellent so far with no signs of wear.
I would recommend it over the "___armor" brand. It maybe wool but there is no itching!
At full price it is as pricey as the competition but you can get a good deal on it off season.

Forget about the sizing info. According to the sizing info I should have bought Medium. I ordered XL as usual and it fit (my height is 185cm). Consider the style is very tight - good for slender people. The outer layer is merino-wool (high quality!) and as with all wool has a tendency to shrink. Do not wash in hot water, do not tumble dry! Great product!

Love the warmth of it. I have a couple of these and the HH base layers that don't have the merino wool so that I can be the proper amount of warmth in a variety of conditons and have found that I can double up on these layers for even more warmth.
With the particular one the zip extends the temperature range. Zip it up when you need the extra warmth of the turtleneck and bring it down when you don't. Really made skiing more comfortable.
Also works just as a shirt around the house in winter, we keep it a bit cool and this provides just the right amount of warmth.
More durable than I would have thought, have used it for more than 70 ski days and even more as just a short and no wear signs yet

This top is awesome as a base layer. However, it is SKIN TIGHT. It fits like the Nike Pro Combat stuff. I've worn this on many a run below freezing and it, by itself, has been great in keeping me warm.

This product is exactly as advertised. Better than standard compression in feel and thermal performance. It also fits well through the shoulders and chest.
