5Stop looking...you've found the bestMay 04, 2009
By Jennifer Phillips "Health Crazy Jen"
I was at Whole Foods a few months ago when a very kind man offered me a sample of his organic peanut butter made with heart healthy olive oil. I gracefully declined, as always. He was friendly but persisted...."it's the best and we're local!!" I decided to give it a try. Since that day, I have not taken a bite of any other peanut butter. I eat peanut butter EVERY SINGLE DAY of my life and I'm picky about the flavor. This isn't just good, it is EXCEPTIONAL. I dip my anti-oxidant rich dark chocolate into this peanut butter for a mid-day snack and I feel like I'm in heaven. It truly doesn't get any better. I HIGHLY recommend that you try this!

5Great Tasting Peanut Butter That is Healthy TooApr 06, 2009
By Judy Emmert
The taste is just like peanuts and it has heart healthy olive oil too. My family lives on PBJ sandwiches and switching to Hearts and Minds makes good sense.

5Good taste, Great idea!Dec 30, 2009

It looks and tastes more like the "healthy" brands of peanut butter than the commercial brands. The taste is a little different than name brands (Jiff, Skippy) but I think that it tastes pretty good. I would liken it to getting used to whole wheat bread after eating white bread your whole life, a little bit of a learning curve but then you don't even notice it anymore. The main point is that it is so much healthier than regular peanut butter, my son eats peanut butter and jelly every day and now he is getting a good dose of Omega-3. On a side note, my son will not touch sun butter so I was worried that he wouldn't like this but he didn't seen to notice the change.

1Really Bad - 1 of the bottles was damaged - tastes disgustingSep 19, 2009

One bottle was cracked. Amazon was great about it and refunded my money. I tried a spoon full from a non-broken bottle and it tasted horrible.

4Taste=Good; Healthier=yes; Consistency=kind of weirdAug 27, 2009

My kids eat much more peanut butter than I do, and they seem to like whatever brand I get. They are still at the age where I fix their food for them. They have not complained about this brand, and I feel better about feeding them this brand versus the Peter Pan's and the Jif's and the others of the same ilk that are on the market. I have eaten a few sandwiches with the Hearts & Minds peanut butter, and I find that it tastes okay, especially if eaten with jelly (the low sugar kind is what I use). So, no real problems thus far. The only thing that bothers me about this brand is the consistency. If you keep it out of the fridge, then it is too runny. If you put it in the fridge, then it is too hard, and I have messed up more that one slice of bread by trying to spread the peanut butter on the bread. HOWEVER, it's almost amazing at how easily it will spread if you scoop out a chunk, set it on the bread at room temperature, then wait five or ten minutes--maybe not even that long. It sort of melts to the right consistency. Or, as an alternative to that, I have taken the jar and set it in a sinkful of hot water for five minutes, then stir it up, and it spreads fine that way as well.

The spreading is a small hassle, but I like the health factor of this peanut butter so much more over the other brands. Worth the hassle. I plan on purchasing this again soon, when we run out of our current supply.
