Great little printerJun 04, 2008
By Kevin Courcey This really is a great little printer. I moved from an all-in-one canon MP170 to this printer to free up valuable desktop space, and I find that when printing photos on glossy stock the color representation is better on this HP than on the more expensive Canon MP170. The paper feed path is part of what saves space here, both in height and depth. I don't need 18" of overhead space to feed the paper since it lays flat in front of the printer, and when the paper tray is folded up it only takes up 9" of depth on my desk. Yes, it feeds the printed page out over the storage tray, but...I don't find this to be a problem at all. I was expecting to have to buy a separate dye-sub printer for photos, but so far the print quality is good enough that I'm putting that on hold. For the money, this is a good deal for the home user.

A good cheap printerJan 26, 2009
By T. Stratton This printer is fine for the casual user who does not do a lot of printing. Setup is easy, and print quality good. Installing new ink cartridges is straight forward and easy.
My biggest "beef" is that the printed page is ejected out right on top of the paper in the input tray; a rather weird design, I think.
However, like I said, it's ok for ocassional use. I purchased and installed this printer for a friend who falls into the above catagory.

One Good PrinterJan 06, 2009
By Ron Feiertag I am pleased with my purchase of this product but there were problems. One problem is that one cable needed to get this product to work was not included. It is the cable that would connect the printer to the computer. That cable could be significantly expensive, depending on what store you buy it from. Another problem is that Hewlett-Packard, on its web site, promised telephone support, e-mail support, and online tech support for this product. After I bought it, when I tried to get telephone support, their message was that they do not provide telephone support for this product. I did receive online support and e-mail support. I found this printer relatively easy to set up and it works well.

paper spillageFeb 17, 2009
By Richard B. King To Richard Thompson of Montclair, New Jersey, who had so much trouble with the paper tray. There is an extender tab, which, when pulled out (duh), controls the printed paper very nicely. This great little printer is worth at least $100.00 more than the selling price. I have had several, and this is by far the best. Richard King, Fabius, NY

Good PrinterFeb 07, 2009
By Denice R. Hubbard Purchased it because it had good reviews; and because my last two HP printers were excellent products. Easy to use and replace cartridges; however, quite often I get messages that something is stuck in the printer when that's not the case at all. This requires that I shut it off, turn it back on, and then it's fine. Bit of a hassle in that respect. Also, tells you quite early in the game that cartridges are low; but I'm not replacing any until the print starts to go. It's obvious that my copies are good and it's not necessary to replace them. It's still a decent product for the low price.
