2There is nothing "natural" about this.Apr 18, 2011
By E. Kerby
I bought this because I ran out of seventh generation dish liquid and I bought new soap at a store that didn't have seventh generation. I thought this would be the next best thing.

It wasn't.

A closer look later revealed that some of the ingredients are:
Sodium lauryl sulfate - Makes bubbles! Corrosive and fights grease. Also, it is considered toxic, and an irritant, and it accumulates in peoples' organs. It causes rashes, and can cause cancer. If you get any in your eyes, it can cause cataracts.
Ethanol - Uh, really? We need fuel in dish soap? Ethanol has a huge carbon footprint.
Fragrance - A "natural" dish soap would use essential oils. Fragrances are often pretty dangerous chemicals.
Colorant - Nothing natural, just a chemical.

Just because something doesn't contain bleach hardly means it is natural.

For extra measure, Clorox puts the Sierra Club logo on their bottles, as if the soap is actually good for the environment (it isn't). Of course there is a disclaimer saying the Sierra Club does not endorse or sponsor the dishsoap...so if they don't, why does putting their logo on the bottle mean anything at all? (It doesn't. It is just to deceive us as buyers.)

This dish soap does work pretty well. It cleans dishes. But the reason it works well is because the product is not "natural" at all. Putting "green" and "natural" on the bottle is just to trick us and win our money. Use this if you want, but don't feel like you're doing anything "natural" or "green" when you wash your dishes. Instead, feel like you just got suckered into buying a Clorox product that is still formulated like other Clorox products. Although, I guess there are plenty of "natural" items that are not safe...arsenic comes to mind. You wouldn't want that in your dish liquid either.

I won't buy this again.

5Couldn't be more pleasedApr 01, 2009

I decided to give this product a try when it was on sale for $17.00 for 12 bottles (CHEAP!!!!). I notice the price is now substantially more. I really like the product. Plenty of suds, nice soft fragrance, and does a great job of cleaning the dishes -- no problem cutting grease. So, I highly recommend this, not only as a responsible purchase, but as a product that I think you'll like.

5Green & GentleAug 16, 2009
By Samantha McEachin "shopping sensation"
As a new mom, I was looking for a product to wash my daughter's baby bottles with that did not contain harsh chemicals or that would leave that awful "dish detergent aftertaste" in my baby's mouth. Simply Tangerine is . . .simply what I was looking for. It has a nice lather and fruity fragance that helps to eliminate that awful sour milk smell from those bottles that accidentally get left in the diaper bag overnight!(LOL) without being too over-powering at the same time. It also does a great job in dissolving the breastmilk fat residue on the baby bottle nipples. The added bonus . . . the translucent color of the dish liquid and its sleek bottle design coordinate perfectly with my orange Rachael Ray cookware in the kitchen!

5Great dish detergentNov 11, 2008

Big raves for this dish detergent, both in formula and scent. I've found that this detergent cleans and cuts grease really well, and bubbles up nicely. Even though it's a 'green' version of standard dish detergent, I've not noticed any sacrifice in cleaning power, and you don't need very much to get a sink full of bubbles. I actually think that this might have better lather quality than a non-green detergent. The scent is also very nice- the waterlily notes are present, and they smell clean and pleasant without being overwhelming. Overall I've been very pleased with this dish detergent, and will certainly buy it again.

4Versus PalmoliveJan 27, 2011
By Jared Jongeling
I've been a diehard Palmolive user for years, because nothing cuts grease and lathers quicker than good ol' Palmolive. When it was time to stock up on a new bottle, I noticed this new product by Clorox sitting there. Hm. Green Works? Sounds like a gimmick. I popped open the bottle and the pleasant waterlily scent invigorated my senses. I put it back and reached for Palmolive when I noticed the coupon hanging politely on the bottle of Clorox. 50 Cents off. What the hay...it's cheaper than Palmolive, AND it's 50 cents off. I gave it a whirl.

Today when I was doing my dishes, I did one sink load of Clorox, drained the dirty water, and then I used Palmolive "Oxy Plus Power Degreaser" in the next sink load.

Here's what I noticed :

Pros

Pleasant scent
Soft on your hands
Doesn't leave residue
Has a decent amount of suds with minimal liquid
Cuts greasy substances as well as Palmolive

Cons

Not quite as concentrated as Palmolive (you may use two drops of Clorox to one drop of Palmolive to get the same suds)

All in all, I think the GreenWorks by Clorox is an excellent product. I may choose to use this from now on because it is cheaper than Palmolive and does about the same work. It also smells much better than most of the Palmolive liquids.

If you're curious, give it a shot. You just might find your new favorite dish liquid!
