Must have been past expiration dateJan 09, 2010

I looked everywhere on the box and package for an expiration date and could not find one, but because of the deep brown color, my guess is it spoiled at some point or was just plain old. Sending back a heavy package did not make any sense, so I composted it and bought another brand.
