 are the pine nuts shelled in china or usa?Apr 18, 2012

just wondering if the pine nuts are shipped in their shell and broken here in usa..
would like to know the sanitation processing that goes on if at all.
also..the Chinese pine nut taste different than the native pine nuts of the southwest.
which is sweeter...especially when roasted over fire or oven

After spending a fortune on the tiny glass jars of pine nuts in my grocery, I looked into buying them online. So many reviewers have complained about a strange aftertaste from Chinese pine nuts, I was afraid to try these. But they are fresh and very delicious, especially after toasting in an oiled skillet. A much better value than most. I wonder if the strange aftertaste thing is related more to body chemistry than bad pine nuts?

Delicious. My mom and I both love it. We ate it like a snack. I will buy more. The price is reasonable.
