 Good Seasons Basil Dressing made liteNov 22, 2007

This is a great dressing as well as a good marinate. To make it lite all you have to do is add 1/4 cup of water to the bottle before adding the oil. Very hard to find in my local stores so I resorted to buying on line.

The Basil Vinaigrette Good Seasons salad dressing mix is the best ever. Wonderful flavor and tastes home made. Mix half and half olive oil/canola oil, use orange juice instead of water, and a pear infused white balsamic vinegar to create an incredible dressing. Enjoy.

We have enjoyed this dressing mix for years, especially when made with balsamic vinegar and served over a salad with tomatoes and fresh mozzerella, but when we moved could no longer find it in the stores. Glad to find a source for it, although it will take a long time to work through 24 packets.

I believe this to be one of, if not the best of Good Season's dressings. When made with extra virgin olive oil and white balsamic vinegar, it's hard to beat!

The dressing is good with any salad; however, I have found when it is mixed with Italian dressing it enhances the flavor of the Ceasar salad. It is also good when baking chicken.
