My brother gave one of these to me for my birthday. I have two cats, one long-haired, and the fur of the long-haired one is next to impossible to remove from oriental rugs with a vacuum. This product is now my favorite household cleaner -- truly, it's like magic.

I found one of these in a fabric store years ago and am still using it. It definitely works. I could make a new cat from all the fur this thing has picked up over the years. I think of it as an "eraser" - it works like one. Perfect for upholstered things and clothes. A few swipes or swirls, if fur deposit is heavy, and the area is fur free. I've never rinsed mine. I just pull the collected hair off with my fingers. But after a while, the Gonzo starts to break down a bit and crumble. Mind you, this is after a long while. Like I said, I've had mine for years and am just now thinking about replacing it. I almost gave it 4 stars because of the crumbling, but that would be silly - after 6 years, the darn thing ought to crumble. I think it's brilliant.

I have 3 long haired cats and this is amazing at cleaning up the hair-even what you can't see. My mom has 2 cats and a dog and my sister has a dog and cat and we all swear by this product. A must have and a great gift for pet owners.

i love these sponges. i own two aussies and hair abounds everywhere. these sponges make the hair clump and you just pick it up and throw away or vacuum it up. no other product i have tried, and there has been many, can do what this does. i have one in each car and also in the living room. give them a try. you won't be disappointed!
