Guru Lite ReviewMay 14, 2007
By Jason Ford For all you "label freaks" like myself-Guru Lite is the best "energy drink" on the market (I just wish it was twice the size). The fact that it contains Stevia-over nasty sweeteners such as Aspartame or Splenda is a Huge plus (not counting all the other garbage thrown in those other drinks.) The taste is definitely an aquired one. But for a guy who was downing 3 Sugar free Monsters per day (and my liver enzyme count showed it)...Guru lite has been the perfect replacement...(and my enzymes are back down to normal!!) Let that be a warning to those of you energy drink junkies slamming down 2-3 drinks per day.
Overall-Guru Lite is a great product-and while I love the taste of regular Guru, I'll take the 10 calories and no sugar versus 100 calories and 25 grams with the regular.

Taste not the best but result goodApr 21, 2009
By T. Raymond The taste takes some getting used to. Make sure you drink it ice cold. Sugar brings me straight down and artificial sweetners have there own side effects. This is where this product shines. No sugar crash or artificial sweetners. It gives a good pick me up. I am starting to get used to the taste as I am on my second case. I will continue to buy this product as I like the all natural aspect. You can read the ingredients and actually know what you are consuming. If you buy this and the taste is not to your liking try mixing it with juice. I mix mine sometimes with a 100% cranberry/pomegranate juice and it tastes great.

Natural Energy at a Fair PriceJul 10, 2011
By subrosian If you're anything like me, you have a busy life, and getting 8+ hours of sleep every night just doesn't happen. You need something to get through your day, and the proliferation of mass-market energy drinks has led you to chugging one, two, three or even more in a day! Not good! I know my own Bed Rull (clever!) drinking was getting out-of-control, and it was having a serious impact on both my health and my wallet. In my desperation for a source of healthier, more cost and eco friendly energy, I turned to my local natural grocery store and found this: GURU Lite.
Made with Stevia instead of all those "let's all wait for the news story about the horrible health impacts" artificial sweeteners, and containing only ingredients you can actually pronounce (sparking water, lemon juice, cane juice, guarana seed, luo han gua juice, steevia, echinacea, ginko, ginseng)it sounded pretty promising. But what about the energy? Well it works, I took my first sip, went "oh well, crap, doesn't work" and then 2 minutes later I was awake! No jitters, no "surge-o-epic caffeine" - just awake. It's refreshing, if you're used to the "wired wired wired wired zing zoom bzzzzz crash!" of normal energy drinks, get ready for one that actually just makes you feel like yourself. Not wired, not tired, not cranky, not crazy, just a couple extra hours of focus as YOU!
But what about the flavor? GURU Lite is best described as "not bad", I like it room temperature, you may prefer it chilled. Unlike those commercial heart-attacks-in-a-can, GURU focused on health over sugar-load, so expect a slightly lemony, earthy herbal taste. It is not by an means bad tasting, but it's not like liquid candy, it's a simple, natural flavor that doesn't overwhelm or make you want to chug twenty of them. You drink this for the health and energy, and the taste is secondary. I don't want you to think "oh it tastes bad..." because it doesn't, it's just the taste is definitely not the focus, it's not a soda, it's more like a glass of water - you drink it because you're thirsty, and this, you drink because you are tired and want to be awake.
What about the cost? Well, Amazon has the best deal around. I chose the subscribe-and-save option and came home to find a box, wrapped in a clear plastic wrap to protect against rain, two days later. Inside was my case of GURU (which looks exactly like the picture). I found with GURU not only am I drinking fewer of them than I did with Bed Rull, but I'm able to sleep better and of course I'm ending each month with tons of cash in my pocket that is no longer being spent on over-priced, junk-laden commercial "energy".
And the best part? I have all the energy I want at hand in a far, far healthier package. Give it a shot today, you will be pleasantly surprised.

love love love it!!!Apr 24, 2011
By hazel I was a big coffee drinker until i realized how much sugar and creamer I was consuming in my 'cup of joe'. I also realized the energy crash later was due to my coffee fix. Discovering Guru was the perfect answer for me! The taste takes a little getting used to, (best ice cold) but the energy boost is just right and I don't seem to have the crash later. My son uses it for work-outs, and my employer and I swear it makes us happy! Also, I have gotten so I like the taste. Please don't ever stop making guru!

try drinking room-tempJan 25, 2011
By yihwan so when i first bought guru at a local whole foods, i was a bit skeptical. all the other organic, free-trade, healthy, hipster, etc. energy drinks did not provide an energy boost at all; some actually made me sleepier. so i wasn't sure what to expect when i chugged down the first can ... AND THEN IT HIT ME!! all of a sudden my room was so dirty why was it so dirty well i must clean it now and vacuum too i never vacuum but i'll do it now oh what i'm done it only took me thirty minutes wow i should do this more often well now i should go on a run running is good lets go runn wheeee!!
i ended up running for a good five hours to burn off all the energy. needless to say, i was more than pleased and went out and bought a lot more and stuck them all in my fridge. but then it stopped working. at first i drank them more slowly (i didn't want to go crazy again), but it had little effect. thinking i had to drink the entire can really fast, i started chugging the rest. still, nothing. no effect. what the heck?
i was close to giving up when i found a can that i hadn't put in the fridge. i decided that $2.50 energy drinks were too expensive to waste (and the taste itself isn't too bad, not to sweet and disgusting like other energy drinks) and drank the can. i didn't get the psychpath on crack effect like i did the first time, but i was pleasantly surprised to find that it gave me a considerable boost of energy.
fascinated, i decided to conduct a highly unscientific experiment drinking cold and not cold gurus. my conclusion? not cold = more energy. now whenever i go on a run, i drink a can of non-refrigerated guru and find that i can run a lot faster, harder, and longer than i could before. maybe it's psychological; maybe i'm a freak. but it worked for me.
maybe you should try it too.
